About Melissa
Melissa Hart is a TONY-nominated actor/singer with extensive on-stage experience on Broadway and in Regional theatre. She regularly conducts master classes on how to act a song as well as on how to sing in a “healthy belt,” music theatre style. An accomplished director, Ms. Hart has been a professor of Music Theatre at the University of Florida, Pennsylvania State University, and Marymount Manhattan College. Ms. Hart has maintained an active voice studio since 1980. Located in Golden Valley, MN., she teaches actors, singers, and dancers at any level how to sing with healthy technique for both belting and legitimate styles. She also works with the injured voice. She counts among her students many who have performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Tours, and several members of the chorus of Minnesota Opera.
